This saturday I rode the european semi final in Holsted Denmark. The track was challenging for all of us but it was a nice event for sure. I'm well pleased with my riding, but unfortunately I didn't qualify for the european final later this year. I have been disqualified twice for exceeding the oudside line. I would have been in sixed place if it wasn't for these disqualifications. The bike straightand up one time and the other time I lost both feed from the foodrests over the bumps and was fortunate to stay on.
Now I'm not making excuses, but this is what happend. I feel like this was a good experience and I will take what I've learned to next year.
Afterwards it was a matter of packing up the van asap because we had to leave for Belgium the day after.
I had an absolute blast riding in heusden zolder again. The track was absoluty great and allowed for some good close racing. I took two heat wins and placed for the semi finals as fourth. It was a real shame I ran out of room for the first corner coming from the inside gate leaving me at the back. I maneged to overtake one rider but unfortunately four laps wasn't enough to close the gap to second comming across the finish as third and just missing out for the final. The final result was a fith place, but i'm not satisfied with that knowing I could have done better.
To summarise, I think it was a good weekend but I need to work on my starts.
