To kick the season of we started with the only round for the Dutch open speedway Championship, what meant that after the first race the first titel was already won by someone. I started out struggling with the track during practice, but as the day continued I started to feel more comfortable and the track conditions improved as well.
In the end I got myself enough points to make it to the last change final, or B-final, and I was able to win this one. In the big final I was sitting in 4th place for a while and in the second to last lap made a mistake and dearly took myself out, but luckily the rider in 3th made a mistake going in to the next turn and I was able to overtake him. This meant that I was now sitting in 3th and looking ad a podium finish, if i could hang on for one more lap. So I did! meaning in the first race of the year I got myself a 3th place in the dutch open speedway championship, nice way to start of the new season!
