Past weekend I rode the u23 longtrack world championship. A day that was very promising as I kept improving every heat. After being tied for 3th place going in to the finals we had to draw for the a or b final, wich didn't work out in my favor. This meant I had to ride the last change for a spot in the final wich I confidently won. Unfortunatly in the final another rider made a bad judgement call and wiped both himself and me out. I did get to restart as it wasn't my fault, but after this crash I wasn't fit and after the race ended up in an ambulance to the hospital.
This is in perticular sad as I had a real good change for a podium, but instead I left with amnesia and a concussion. But hey, that is racing to and it was an excident. Still P4 is something I can be proud about as the only rider who came in between the french riders who had the home advantage.
Now it is time for me to take it easy and prepaire the bikes and all gear for next season. Not how I pictured to close the season but I will be back fully fit next year, hopefully with some more memories of this weekend!
Again thanks to this year sponsors who made it possible for me to ride this year at the level I did.
