After a good season with some nice results and a lot of positive feedback from a lot people I have been given a big reward. I was asked for a reserve spot in the longtrack world championship round 5 in Vechta! I was fortunate enough to get to ride in the meeting to. In the first outing i got to ride I unfortunately didn't score any points from what turned out to be the worst gate, but i could keep up well. In the second and last heat I got to ride I scored a very respectable 2 points officially placing my name on the list with the worlds best riders. I'm pretty happy with this result and am looking forward for the next one.
Now because I am a little behind updating this blog, I'm sorry.. But I can at the last of 6 rounds world championship to this post.
I've been asked again for a reserve spot for round 6 at Roden. This track is in the Netherlands and I know it well. I even rode one of the fastest times of the day in my practice Session. In the morning practice got delayed two times because of wet track conditions and later on the track dried up. There are a couple riders who rode a faster lap, but I think for my debut in the world championship this year as a reserve rider even this is not bad at all. I think it's safe to say I showed that I belong in this series and am looking forward to next year hoping I get the chance to ride qualifying for 2024 and maybe get a wildcard for an event, who knows.
