Last sunday I rode on the fast dream track of Eenrum in the international group. During the practice I tried the bike and made some small adjustments for the races. In the first heat I had a reasonable start, but a good first turn coming out in second place. I gained some ground on the leader (Theo Pijper) following real close, but wasn't able to overtake. In the third heat I had a good start and got a second place again, this time in front of Theo. The fourth heat I missed out on the start and got a fourth place.
I was tied for 4th for the A-/B-final, but because I didn't have a heat win I went to the B-final with the first gate pick. Unfortunately I didn't make the start in the final and although I was following closely, I couldn't make up for it and got fourth. This meant I would not progress to the A-final and got 8th place overall.
All together I am pleased with my riding and know I still have to work on making the starts. Next up is Berghaupten in southern Germany.
